Freedom to teach means that I have the ability to shape an individual or change their mindset.
Whether It's school related or dealing with life in general, I also feel the freedom to teach means that I can teach that particular student to better his or her ability to better their chances when it comes to learning to enhance their knowledge for success at the next level. In today's society our young men and women need teaching beyond education in order to become successful and respectable adults. The key word is "freedom" and as long as we as teachers stay within the respectable and appropriate boundaries, our freedom to teach can be just that.

Freedom to teach is allow the teacher to the needs of the students.
Who is able to change a lesson if it is not working for your students. Who is able to allow the students to have fun while learning. A teacher should not be allow to read blue words with fidelity. A teach should not have to read more than a student to do a lesson. Teachers need to teach without a script.

Freedom to Teach is doing whatever it takes for my students regardless of the pressures from above.
It is standing up, engaging in constant conversation, and not letting up.

We have the freedom to teach when we are free to collaborate with colleagues, when we are free to observe the best teachers at our own schools and others, when we are free to believe that all students can and will learn, when we are free to feel confident
.

and also free to admit when we need help. We have the freedom to teach because we have the freedom to learn.

Great point on how freedom to teach and freedom to learn go hand in hand!

Freedom to Teach means to me that I am encouraged and supported in providing quality instruction to all students, inside and outside of my classroom.
It also means that I am allowed to educate my students on the social injustices taking place and modeling to them how advocacy and action are necessary for change to take place!
