About This Webinar

Join Facing History & Ourselves in preparing for the upcoming school year. Together we’ll explore teaching strategies and flexible resources designed to help educators get to know their students as individuals and facilitate the process of creating an open, supportive, and reflective classroom community.

In addition, we will model classroom routines that teachers can implement from day one to support effective learning and meaningful student-centered practices in homeroom, advisory, or academic courses. Materials and resources are designed for middle school and high school level students.

Participants will:

  • Consider the values and concerns that inform back-to-school planning
  • Explore Facing History & Ourselves’ various back-to-school resources, including the Back to School Toolkit
  • Share strategies, activities, and ideas for supporting student well-being and academic achievement
