About This Webinar
This presentation offers an introduction to Generative A.I., specifically focusing on Google Gemini, and its practical applications in education. Participants will learn how Gemini can assist in various teaching tasks, including lesson planning, intervention, and providing student feedback, thereby freeing up time for more individualized student interaction. In this presentation we will discuss common concerns about A.I. replacing teachers, and students using A.I. to cheat.
Participants will navigate the Gemini interface and learn the importance of crafting and refining effective prompts. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in creating lesson plans, assessments, and parent communication emails using Gemini.
This session will conclude with ethical considerations, particularly regarding cheating, with strategies provided for adapting assignments and assessments to mitigate A.I. misuse.
Throughout the session, participants are encouraged to ask questions, explore the technology, and consider how to integrate these practical applications and ideas into their instructional practices.
